Primary Punchbowl Launch and Blog Hop!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Today is SUCH a super exciting day and I cannot wait to share it with you all! :)
I've written on here a few times about the blogging angels who have come into my life during the past 10 months. Honestly, they have all changed me in some way even in the short time I have known them... and online, at that! These ladies invigorate me when I'm spent, inspire me when in a rut, lift me up when I'm feeling down, and keep me smiling from ear to ear.

A few months ago, we started talking about collaborating on more projects -- how would we do that being that we are spread out all across the country? Well, we have decided to launch a collaborative blog! I know!!!! Crazy, right?! There were just so many ideas floating around and we had already collaborated on giveaways, book studies, and more... so why not? It seemed like a pretty logical (but oh-so-exciting) next step!!
So this week we are hosting our OFFICIAL launch. But what is a blog launch without some FUN?!
This launch comes with 4 components! (whattttttttt?!?!?!?!???!?!!?!??) Yes, FOUR!
I live in Connecticut, and I am absolutely thrilled that it is finally starting to feel like fall!! Cool, crisp mornings, sun peeking through fiery trees, and that crunch under my feet. This is my all-time favorite time of year for a million and a half reasons, but what are some things that I love to do during this magical time of year?
With my husband, it's many of the obvious, cliche activities...
  • apple picking
  • pumpkin picking
  • evening walks
  • football games
  • picnics
  • vineyard visits
  • and so much more
...but when it comes to school, boy oh boy do I get excited!!

Some of my favorite things to do with my class are:

  • nature walks
  • moon unit
  • pumpkin unit
  • apple unit
  • try new foods (pumpkin and apple theme!)
  • read fall books
But my absolute favorite activity is when my students bring in their October Family Projects. In October, I send home a Scarecrow activity. I request that all families design and build a scarecrow -- be it 2D or 3D. Then, we read The Scarecrow's Hat by Ken Brown and students work during writer's workshop to tell about their scarecrow in the same way. I sent the projects home last week and they are due at the end of this one. I cannot wait to update you with samples, so keep a look out! :)

Each blogger will be sharing a fall-themed freebie with you! I am excited to share my newest product, Go Pickin': A Rhyming Match Game.
This has been one of the biggest hits in my classroom this year. Played like Go Fish!, players work to find rhyming images.

What I love about this game, is that it is EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZY to differentiate! All of the images are CVC words and can therefore be used with groups working on initial, final, or medial sounds. I can hone in on a specific vowel sound and use those images, or I can have some of my more advanced groups sort the cards, then create labels for each of them.

Included in this freebie are:
  • 48 FULL COLOR pumpkin cards (sorry for the black and white images above...)
  • Draw and Discard mat for student use, and
  • Visual instructions for game play!
You can download yours by clicking HERE. Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns and I would LOVE it if you left feedback! :)
While you're in my store, check out my FEATURED products. I have listed my four TOP SELLERS at 50% off their usual price! One of which is my COMPLETE Dolch Sight Word Assessment Tool. Normally priced at $22, this pack features tests, weekly quizzes, daily practice printables, and parent letters for all Dolch lists, Pre-Primer through Grade 3! At $15, it is an ABSOLUTE STEAL!

My Fact Fluency Scoot Games are a GREAT way to review addition to 10, as you work toward developing fluency. If you haven't played Scoot before, this is a great way to start! Students move around the room, independently, and work from card to card to solve the problem, keeping track on their recording sheet! Answer sheets are included. Right now, this pack is only $5 and includes 5 different games! Buy now and get all future updates and added games for FREE!

This is my best-selling single component to the Complete Dolch List, but I've also got individual packs for Pre-Primer, Primer, 2nd Grade, and 3rd!

I have gotten a lot of great feedback on this pack, already! Use this for morning work, quick assessments, small groups, and more!

  11. Since I research most of my purchases online before financially committing, I decided to do the same with a second attempt at shoe laces.
