It's That Time of Year, Again...

We've all been there. It's that time of year... again. Yes, THAT time. Holidays are over, mid-year testing is kicking into high gear, everyone's itching for a snow day (at least in our small, Connecticut town, we are!), and we're falling into some not-so-great habits. That time of year when we all become astronomers and meteorologists (Mercury must be in retrograde... full moon? uhh... blizzard coming? Oh! Venus is particularly close this week. THAT must be it!) Come on, you know this sounds like... someone!

I'm finding that every time I speak, half of the class is popping up to go to the bathroom, snag a drink from their water bottles, or grab a tissue. None of these behaviors are with ill intention. The kids are antsy. The routine, though wonderfully and necessarily predictable, is becoming stale. They still want to learn, they're still trying, but their focus just isn't what I know it could be.

But this week, I whipped out my favorite mid-year addition and I now have every single kiddo hanging on my every word. Yes, you read that right... EVERY. SINGLE. KIDDO. Interested?

Primary Punchbowl Launch and Blog Hop!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Today is SUCH a super exciting day and I cannot wait to share it with you all! :)
I've written on here a few times about the blogging angels who have come into my life during the past 10 months. Honestly, they have all changed me in some way even in the short time I have known them... and online, at that! These ladies invigorate me when I'm spent, inspire me when in a rut, lift me up when I'm feeling down, and keep me smiling from ear to ear.

A few months ago, we started talking about collaborating on more projects -- how would we do that being that we are spread out all across the country? Well, we have decided to launch a collaborative blog! I know!!!! Crazy, right?! There were just so many ideas floating around and we had already collaborated on giveaways, book studies, and more... so why not? It seemed like a pretty logical (but oh-so-exciting) next step!!

Liebster Award!!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I have to say... I cannot believe just how quickly some things can change!
I started this little blog and selling on Teachers Pay Teachers about a year ago. I did not, however, begin to focus myself until this past fall. In the last month or so, I have found a spike in sales, QUINTUPLED my Instagram following, and jumped from 7 TpT followers to 124! It took a lot of crawling and climbing, but I am finally beginning to feel like I have chiseled out my own little part of the internet.
Honestly, though, I cannot take the credit for it. About 2 months ago, I sort of stumbled into a group of teacher-bloggers and I am truly overwhelmed with the incredible support that everyone has to offer! These beautiful ladies have helped me to build a little online confidence, but also to get my brand out there. These ladies are truly inspiring teachers and I feel humbled to work among them.
And that leads me to my next point...

The ever-so-lovely Melinda at Tales of the Sassy Teacher has nominated me for a Liebster Award!
You may be asking, "What is the Liebster Award?" Well...
The Liebster Award is a way for newer bloggers (with less than 200 followers) who have great content, to link up, meet other bloggers, and share a little bit about themselves!
I was given 11 questions to answer so here goes...

Tell All Tuesday!

**EDIT: All answers in PURPLE!

I am so sorry for the delay with this update! In fact, I know that I have been a terrible blogger lately! It has been a crazy hectic week or so. My father-in-law ended up in the hospital with a complication from a surgery he had nearly a year ago. Luckily, it's nothing major for now, but... we always worry. Additionally, we're still in school and I am really dreaded saying goodbye to all of my little loopers. Time to put on my big girl pants and see them off to 2nd grade!

On a positive note, we had Field Day this week, my Mother-in-Law's birthday (we took her to Yankee Stadium), and my husband won an award at work so they sent us up to Foxwoods Casino for a night of wining and dining!

So my blog and store have absolutely suffered, but honestly... we cannot do it all! I am really excited to really settle in and get focused on building it all up. Linky parties such as this one are GREAT for that!

Keep an eye out for the next Tell All Tuesday, Book Study, and.... some changes from the TPT Sellers Challenge that I just joined! I'm so excited to see some growth!
