Five for Friday Linky Party!

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for  Five for Friday!

The hubs and I OFFICIALLY set sail tomorrow morning for the Bahamas! I cannot explain how happy I am to say that we are finally going! This will likely be the ONLY week that I have off this summer and Dave has had such a stressful few months at work, I'm just glad to help him get away from it all for a little while.

Before!
AFTER!

Me with my beautiful friend Alicia, on the right!

Last week I updated about the Run or Dye 5K. It was my FIRST EVER 5K and I am so proud to say that I DID IT! :) I have INCREDIBLE co-workers friends! They are extremely supportive of all of my goals and I couldn't be more blessed to have these people in my life!

On Sunday, we went to a Battle of the Sexes softball game in Bridgeport, CT. The local Triple-A team, Bridgeport Bluefish, hosted the world famous Brakettes softball team from Stratford, CT (my hometown!) They played with softball rules and the stadium was SOLD OUT! It was a BLAST! Tons of Battle of the Sexes trivia and games between innings. It was such a nice time with Dave and my in-laws. Clearly, Dave and I did not agree on which team should win... and if you look below, I think you'll be able to figure out just who came out on top.

HINT: Boys are STUPID... but we'll get'em next year!! ;)

The Dino Stomp from Go Noodle!

Who has heard of Go Noodle? I am OBSESSED! I am working on a more in-depth post/review, but if you use brain breaks in your classroom, you should DEFINITELY check it out! They have a huge variety of dances and activities for the kiddos to work on with plenty of goals -- energize, energy burn, calm down, etc... I love it and so do my kiddos! Best of all: It's FREE!! So take a second, click the link or the button on my left sidebar and head on over to check it out!!

I have been facing some insecurities lately. In talking with a friend of mine, I was able to explain that I am truly happy with the person I have and continue to grow into. We all have insecurities and, unfortunately, in this world... there are people who like to pick on and exploit those insecurities for their own gain. All I know is that I have to take time each day to reflect on all of my blessings. I am a lucky girl and I have to acknowledge that. I have been blessed in many ways and must not ever forget that. It's time to lift my head up high and CHOOSE HAPPY.

Your number 5 struck me, I've been looking at inspirational quotes to be my mantra for the year. Love it. Simple, and true.

    1. Hahaha! One of the friends I was running with actually grabbed the box of dye from the thrower and dumped it on my head. It was CAKED on!! I looked like I had spray painted my hair! Thanks for popping over, I will definitely take a peek at your pinboards! We LOVE brain breaks! :)

Does the "Loopin'" in "Loopin' Littles" mean that you are a looping teacher? I'm starting to do that this year and would love to hear from someone who has already done it.

      All my best,
      Tiffany
